I was reading earlier that it was a ransomware attack affecting several NHS facilities across the country.

I think this really highlights the ill thought through idea of relying totally on computer systems.

When I worked for a subsidiary of Ford we had a computer 'outage' and it brought the whole company to a standstill. Even the telephone directories were server based so you couldn't even find out who to call for an update, never mind call up parts for production! That little episode cost a very large portion of the company a lost day's production.
