Well, she's got all those arms deals to think about. (Not necessarily a bad thing from a UK jobs point of view)

However hypocritical he is doesn't mean that what he is saying is not what most people think. Possibly he'll say other foolhardy things in the future. He's astute enough, knowing he's playing the buffoon to his audience who love him for it.
