That really looks nasty.

As a kid I saw two motorcyclists killed. One took a bend too fast, came off and split his head open on a lamppost; the other had a motorcycle 'blow up' under him. That made a real mess and I had nightmares about it for years. - I still don't understand how it happened.

But what people tend to forget is that on a bike you are so very vulnerable. One slip and you're soon in trouble with very little protection.

We used to have a saying, "There are many old bikers, there are many bold bikers; but, there aren't many old, bold, bikers!"

I actually witnessed the aftermath of this crash, and was amazed the motorcyclist got off so lightly.
