Sadly today, A man has died after an alleged stabbing assault on Arden Street in Stratford. 4 people have been arrested.
Road closed by roundabout of Birmingham Road/ Guild Street.
--Unbelievable !

From what I've been hearing, the victim was a drug dealer who had been selling heroin of dubious quality to the attackers.

I think I've said it before on here, we need to rethink our strategy on drugs because what we're currently doing isn't working.

Buying drugs on the street is fraught with problems, it could be 'cut' with almost anything.

I've been leaning towards 'licensed' supply of some of these drugs for some time - the supply can be managed, maybe with a view of weening people off the drugs altogether.

I hope any sentence passed is appropriate. But we really do need (IMHO) to review how we look at drugs and their supply. - Impending police cuts are going to make things even worse.
