It's great to see some positive news coming out of Nuneaton for once!

I remember the ones years ago, they were always great for the kids.

Nuneaton gets a bit of a bad press at times, but I've always found it OK and the people very warm and friendly.

Stratford used to have one as well - 30+ years ago now - which I really used to enjoy. It's a shame they don't happen here any more.

I remember as a nipper that we had a local (churches banded together) carnival a couple of weeks before the main Coventry carnival. The local one was often quite good, it's surprising what the scouts and guides could put together.

Coventry carnival was partly responsible for me getting involved in aviation. In the early 60s one carnival had a Hawker Hunter cockpit on a float. It got me hooked!
