This makes very sad reading for a once very talented player.
Bromley used to be my home town, lived and worked there.
My husband recalls that Sansom was a very unusual player in that he was an attacking fullback, very fast and skilfull and also great defensively. The person he often compares him with was the great German leftback , Andreas Braemer.
