The idea of an island is very appealing, but I'd be happier around the UK shores. An old disused lighthouse would suit me, as long as I had my books, laptop and possibly internet. Sadly, Mrs Rebbonk doesn't agree!

Well, Yes, a lighthouse would be quite appealing but for me it is the warm location, clear crystal blue sea and golden sandy beaches that draw me to this Island. I think the solitude as well- no rat race and only people with me I choose to be with. The thought of a tourist packed beach aching with screaming children etc is a complete No. Just think, no bureaucratic council nonsense, no council tax etc.Just use what you need, catch fish for dinner and grow your own fruit and veg. It already has established fruit trees etc.Perfect.
