I don't think I'll have a go at this.

Brave or foolish? - depends on your view I guess

Just plain mad. Apparently, Hammerheads are not man eaters and are very timid. It took them weeks of getting in the water off Bimini to eventually get these shots. Timid is one thing but gentle I doubt. One wrong move and his arm would be chomped (perhaps by accident) and the result would be the same.

Mmmm- Eeek! I hope she turns right towards Africa. She must have rellies to visit off the SA coast! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2575601/Is-great-white-shark-heading-BRITAIN-Killer-fish-spotted-just-1-000-miles-Cornish-coast-arrive-3-DAYS.html

Lydia is making the BBC Breakfast News this morning. I really think the scientists who have tagged her and who were in the water with her when they did so are either nuts or they must really know what they are doing. The trouble is, if she does decide to come to our neck of the woods, what will that do for tourism and our seaside resorts?

On that thought- perhaps a day at the seaside for the cabinet and other ministers with swimming races to see who can swim fastest would be in order? What fun!

She looks as though she may be heading towards Ireland. This was an update 7 hours ago. Now they think she may be pregnant.I find this whole story fascinating. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-26514827

It now looks as though she's turned away from the UK so it might be alright to get in the water after all. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2578323/Is-Lydia-great-white-shark-PREGNANT-Tagged-fish-looking-nursery-Mediterranean.html

Well, After that, I'm not so sure. This ' E**t ' is saying this which suggests Lydia is closer to here now. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2579325/British-Jaws-hunter-vows-stop-Lydia-Great-White-Shark-heading-UK.html

Does any one have his number to let him know she isn't a trophy?

This is not safe fishing or kayaking. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2589520/Kayaker-films-incredible-South-Florida-sleigh-ride-hooked-hammerhead-shark-pulled-miles-sea-30mph.html

What a fool and why are people so cruel for the sake of it?

Lydia is apparently now off the coast of Portugal. If this link works you can see her latest ping was today 1/4/2014. http://www.ocearch.org/#SharkTracker If you're thinking of an Easter break in Portugal, you may like to stay out of the sea!

I thought I'd check on Lydia- she's approximately mid way between Funchal and Bermuda so her Easter Break in Portugal shows a change in plan. http://www.ocearch.org/ Having been to Bermuda and been assured that sharks don't come through the reefs to the various bays I swam happily in the crystal warm clear blue water. Now I am not so sure I'd take the chance. The thought of this happening does me in.http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2604143/SMILE-Diver-taking-pictures-life-underwater-gets-photobombed-shark.html

Whilst this isn't Lydia, she's bigger then Lydia. I wouldn't dip my toe in waters off Australia for this very reason. I simply cannot understand why people do when these magnificent but serious predictors are known to live around the coast.

I wonder if she managed to get insurance for this? Just imagine the awful situation had one of these predators decided to attack. It doesn't bare thinking about and I hope she now gives this up in the ' I've done that, seen the film, got the Tee shirt ' spirit so I don't need to put my family through it again.
