On the surface they seem to have done better than Coventry council. - Good luck to them!

Interestingly, that particular point has been made about CCC. Turkeys don't vote for Christmas do they?

Typical of the Tories; they'd rather make sure their fat backsides are comfortably cushioned, rather than make sure the extra funding is out to god use: http://www.rugbyadvertiser.co.uk/news/local-news/friction-over-extra-spending-in-warwickshire-council-budget-1-7231248

The question needs asking, should we be relying on volunteers?

At this rate of closing down and cuttings they may as well shut the lot--everything.
That means the councils and Westminster too.
Its going that way, with stubborn MotherTeresa and all the other juggling clowns.
They should suffer too. I'd cancel their salaries wages for 6 months
It was amusing at first, but hey , over 2 years and nothing settled.
No joke any more. I'd almost vote for Nigel Farage. At least he'd do something even if we didn't like it..
Now they want an extension which will cost more money as they swan around the world at our expense for another year.
It sticks in my throat when they /she, mournfully mentions how much they are doing for us, 'The Great British People'
I have visions of the Great Irish Famine happening here.
Some people have already died in our streets from cold and hunger and perhaps disease from the un-emptied bins which line the streets of Birmingham, the 5 week wait for benefits, and nurses using food banks..

Without being religious. I would like to remind us about the Dissolution of the Monasteries.

The Church used to look after the poor and sick before Henry VIII 's destruction of the Monasteries. c1534. And after the dissolution of the Monasteries the poor were thrown on the streets! Think on that! The Reformation was and still is the greatest source of poverty, misery and degradation of the people of England. It robbed ordinary people of their land and property, and in place of the generous support provided by the church , it brought in a hateful grudging form of relief which made the poor and the rich despise one another and is far from charity as it is possible to imaging. We are still living of course with the baleful and poisonous consequences of the theft that went on at the reformation to this day, and it continues to poison everything about this county. Sometimes it is hard to digest the truth!
