Personally, I hope this doesn't happen. ST seem to be doing ok as they are, and I'd like to see it stay in British ownership.

I think it was a mistake selling off the utilities in the first place. The "free" market doesn't really exist.

I do believe that selling ST off to foreigners would be a massive mistake

For now... I would not be surprised to see others with an interest. It boggles me, I must be really daft or something because I fail to understand the point in selling off Severn Trent to overseas investors and benefit benefit thousands of Canadian workers and pensions in the Ontario Municipal Employees Retirement System rather than those in the UK. It beggar's belief.
