Maybe it's because I grew up during the troubles in Northern Ireland, but I seem to have taken on a 'Ok, it's nasty, but we've seen worse, whoever did this isn't going to stop me getting on with life' attitude.

The shootings in Boston this morning seem to be connected to the bombings on Monday.

I can't stop thinking about the medical staff who have been dealing with the maimed, the dead and their relatives. As a Nurse, Midwife and some one with additional training in Psychotherapy, I also think about those living who have to ' live ' with the aftermath and also the remaining bomber and his family. How as a practitioner, do you do all of that? It is quite simple; you do from that vocational calling that our system is complaining we have little of. ( Mid Staffs) It is not about Judging, it is all about caring. So hard on those who do it and it spares no horses!
