I remember one called 'Silvers'

That's on Trinity Streetm and is still there - it's called Trinity now, though.

Ithink you are recalling 'The Silver Sword' in Trinity street .The one I remember as Silvers was on the little road at the bottom left of Bishop Street, called Silver street
My son was in 3 bands which played in Coventry and Nuneaton---Thin Fergs, Furious Apples, and Pink Tomatoes , in 80s or 90s..
Idont know if he ever played there though.

Aye. But everyone refers to the Silver Sword as "Silvers". There's still some sort of pub/bar on Silver Street, next to the old Grammar school. Don't know what it's called!
