Trouble is, consumer tastes and activities/behaviour are changing. Pubs have been in decline for years and I see the covid lockdowns as hastening this. I personally find it rather sad as I like a pint (or several) and a chat with people. You can pick up some really interesting nuggets if you keep your ears open and are attentive.
