I have become quite interested in the early theatrical career of Patrick McGoohan. I have realised that he spent some time in 1952 as a member of the
Midland Repertory Company
I'm wondering if anyone remembers/knows anything about it. It was one of the last 'touring theatre companies' sponsored by the post-war arts council. I think it was wound up when Coventry opened the Belgrade in 1957/58
It was based at the College (?) Theatre in Coventry and three of it's touring locations were in Nuneaton, 'the Arts Centre' at Netherton and Stanford Hall in Loughborough.
