like dew on a tramps overcoat
thoughts return to pubs and clubs,
and what the councils up to.
a competition of pictures,
and storms blowing away our sins
will snow fall and paint the place anew?
or will muddy puddles fascinate?
take a picture of the world
so the kids will know we lived here
they will hear us talk of dinosaurs
that were driven off by icecaps
they say the icecaps melting
and there will come a flood
i'd better build an ark then
lest the dinosaur returns
